About

Health and wellness have always been a significant part of my life, but their importance has evolved through my own experiences. I was fortunate to witness the value of fitness from a young age through my father and his dedication to training. Throughout my childhood, I saw him clock countless hours of fitness and training in pursuit of his goal to compete in Ironman triathlons. By prioritizing his own wellness to show up as his best self, my father provided me with a model of how vital this is for success in all areas of life.

It wasn’t until my time as an undergraduate student that I fully understood the value of my own wellness. Like many college students, I wanted to immerse myself in as many activities as possible, spreading myself thin while trying to achieve all of my goals. As a result, my health took a backseat, and I began to feel the negative impact that unresolved stress had on my overall well-being. This experience became the catalyst for finding a balance between self-care and my personal goals. I began to live by the saying, "You cannot pour from an empty cup," and sought out ways to nourish my soul so I could be my best for others.

Over the years since college, I’ve continued to develop my personal understanding of health and wellness, and what it truly means to live a life of well-being. I’ve discovered that daily movement, eating nutrient-dense foods, journaling, therapy, and rest/recovery are the tools that support me in feeling my best. Wellness by Miles encapsulates the journey we all take to find ourselves, live a life of well-being, and align with our personal values. My goal is to help others set attainable wellness goals, enabling them to live happier, healthier lives and achieve their own wellness milestones—whatever those may be!

In my free time, I love spending time moving my body! I find this is one of the best ways for me to feel my best. I teach group fitness classes part time and I am currently training for my 5th marathon, so I am fortuante enough to spend time doing what I enjoy most. The outdoors bring peace to my life so I soak up as much time as I can outside. For fun I also enjoy yoga, reading/journing and spending time with my friends and family. Thank you for being here!
